Great to meet you!

Kenny Chrysostome, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in nursing and behavioral healthcare. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals across the lifespan, with a strong focus on accessibility, collaboration, and individualized treatment planning. Kenny earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Herzing University. He has extensive clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, correctional, and acute care settings. His background includes conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management (including controlled substances), crisis intervention, and ongoing follow-up care for patients with both common and complex mental health conditions.

Kenny treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis conditions. He also has experience working with geriatric populations, adolescents, and individuals with behavioral disorders, including patients on the autism spectrum.

His approach to care emphasizes building strong therapeutic relationships through trust, empathy, and open communication. Kenny believes in treating the whole person by integrating biological, psychological, and social factors into care plans while actively involving patients in shared decision-making

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is patient-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe every patient deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and actively involved in decisions about their mental health care. I take the time to understand each person's unique history, symptoms, goals, and life circumstances so that treatment plans are individualized rather than one-size-fits-all.

I strive to build a therapeutic relationship founded on trust, empathy, and open communication. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable discussing sensitive concerns.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to treatment. We'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, lifestyle, and any personal, family, or social factors that may be affecting your mental health. This comprehensive assessment helps me develop an accurate diagnosis and create a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

I also want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your goals for treatment. I believe the best outcomes come from working together, so we'll discuss your treatment options, including whether medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches may be most beneficial.
