Great to meet you!

Maybe your mind never seems to shut off, small problems quickly become overwhelming, or you're exhausted from trying to look okay when you don't feel okay inside. You might be struggling to focus because of ADHD, experiencing panic that seems to come out of nowhere, using alcohol or substances to escape stress, or managing a chronic condition while still being expected to keep up with everyday life. Perhaps you and your partner keep having the same arguments, or anxiety and depression have made you feel disconnected from the people you care about. I work with teens and adults who are tired of simply pushing through and want things to actually feel different. Together, we'll focus on practical changes that can help you feel calmer, more confident, and more in control of your everyday life.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should give you something useful to take into your real life, not just a place to talk for an hour. We'll identify the thoughts, habits, and reactions that may be keeping you stuck and work on realistic ways to change them. That could mean learning what to do when you feel a panic attack coming on, creating routines that work better with your ADHD, finding healthier ways to cope instead of reaching for alcohol or substances, or communicating with your partner without every disagreement becoming a fight. We'll focus on changes that feel achievable rather than expecting you to transform everything overnight. My goal is to help you recognize what's already working, strengthen what isn't, and build habits that continue helping you long after our sessions.

What you can expect from me

You don't need to come to your first session knowing exactly what's wrong or what you need to do about it. We'll start with what's been happening lately, whether that's constant worry, difficulty focusing, panic attacks, relationship tension, drinking more than you'd like, or simply feeling exhausted and unmotivated. I'll want to understand how these challenges are affecting your work, relationships, health, and everyday life, as well as what you've already tried. We'll also talk about what you genuinely want to be different so therapy has a clear purpose from the beginning. There's no pressure to solve everything in one conversation. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood and with a clear idea of what we can start working on together.
