Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kenya a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy to women across Texas. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale—a space where you don't have to have it all together or carry everything on your own.

I find myself working most often with women navigating life's transitions, whether that's pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, relationship changes, caregiving responsibilities, retirement, grief and loss, anxiety, burnout, identity shifts, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the weight of trying to be everything for everyone else. I enjoy supporting women in every season of life-from young adulthood through the wisdom and unique transitions that come with aging. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside, and together we create space to slow down, process, heal, and move forward with intention.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, supported, challenged when needed, and empowered to make meaningful changes that align with the life you want to live. I believe healing isn't about becoming someone new-it's about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has been there all along.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of New England. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals and families across a variety of healthcare settings, with specialized experience in women's health, pregnancy, postpartum care, maternal mental health, and the emotional challenges that can arise throughout adulthood and later life.

Outside of the therapy room, I'm a mom, mentor, and lifelong learner who enjoys encouraging the next generation of social workers, and finding joy in the everyday moments of life.

If you're ready to invest in yourself, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly.

I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and person-centered techniques. Together, we'll identify patterns, build practical coping skills, process difficult experiences, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I strive to balance compassion with accountability, offering encouragement while gently challenging unhelpful beliefs and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and feel more confident navigating life's transitions and challenges so you can live a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you. It's an opportunity for us to begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship while exploring what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience.

We'll discuss your current concerns, relevant personal history, relationships, strengths, and any challenges you're facing. I'll also ask questions to better understand your emotional well-being, coping strategies, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that feels meaningful and personalized to you.

There is no pressure to share everything at once or have all the answers. You can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can move at your own pace. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clearer sense of how we can work together toward your goals.
