Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kenyatta Lewis, LCSW, and I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, relationship concerns, and foster care or adoption-related issues. With over a decade of experience in mental health, I understand that difficult experiences can shape our stories without defining who we become. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk beside you as a guide and support. Together, we can explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and work toward the future you envision for yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, transparent, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to support you in a way that fits your experiences, strengths, and goals. I believe therapy works best when we work together, and I strive to create a space that is safe, respectful, and empowering. In our work, we will focus on what feels helpful for you, while building insight, coping skills, and meaningful progress toward your goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can share what brings you to therapy at your own pace. We will talk about your current concerns, your history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I will also ask questions to better understand your needs so we can begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. My priority is to help you feel heard and supported as we begin building a plan your care together.
