Kenzie Dodds

Hello! Thank you for popping in! I'm Kenzie and here is a little bit about me and how I got here.

I got my BS in Clinical Psychology at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. I then went to graduate school at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I graduated from Marquette with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I now hold an LMHC in Washington state, and an LCPC in Illinois.

My formalized specialty from my education is working with individuals who have a chronic physical, cognitive, or developmental disability. Since graduating, I have acquired experience working with those same individuals. I also have extensive experience working with complex PTSD, borderline personality disorder, active and retired military, relationship issues, identity issues, and life transitions. I also have experience with a variety of areas outside of these.

My approach to therapy is very individualized, relational, and holistic. I get to know my clients as the complex and unique individuals they are. I then begin to work collaboratively with them as I assist them gaining insight and making changes.

My methods are integrative, but I pull most often from DBT, CPT, EFT, Gestalt, CBT, and IFS.

Your first session with me is an extensive and diverse intake assessment. I get to know you outside of only your main concern first. The first session following the intake will be where we start to really dive-in to what brings you to treatment.
