Great to meet you!

My name is Keri Scribner, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. I have a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University. I enjoy providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. As a previous educator, I hold a "special place in my heart" for children and adolescents. It is rewarding to observe these populations start their journey to gaining insight into, and taking care of their mental health. I work as a LIFE Counselor at a middle school in Roanoke County Public Schools, and operate my private practice during the afternoons and evenings.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic approach to therapy. I combine principles of education, multiple intelligences, diverse learning styles, values, and counseling theories that address mind, body, and behavior. The "heart" of my approach is Psycho-Education. What does all of this mean in simpler terms? It means that I take social, coping, problem solving, executive functioning, and interpersonal skills that stem from common therapy approaches, and adapt them to meet my clients' needs.

What you can expect from me

My first session will project a "calm, cool, and collected" vibe, and it is one of my favorite parts of the counseling journey, as I look forward to gathering information about different life areas that will be relevant to clients' mental health journey.
