Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 6 years of experience in behavioral health and more than 17 years of nursing experience across diverse healthcare settings, including acute care, outpatient, and community-based services. My background has allowed me to work with individuals across the lifespan who are navigating a wide range of mental health concerns.

I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and other mood and thought disorders. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, while incorporating evidence-based practices to support each client’s unique needs.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. As a Christian, I value the importance of faith, hope, and spiritual well-being as part of the healing process. For clients who desire it, I am open to integrating faith-based perspectives into treatment in a respectful and supportive way. I also honor and respect individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey. My goal is to support you in achieving emotional balance, personal growth, and an improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I believe that every individual’s experience is unique, and I take time to listen, understand, and build a trusting therapeutic relationship. I work closely with my clients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy. I use evidence-based practices to guide care while also considering each client’s personal goals, cultural background, and life circumstances.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel safe to share their concerns. My priority is to build a strong therapeutic relationship and ensure you feel heard, respected, and comfortable.

The initial session typically includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any previous treatments. This helps me gain a clear understanding of your needs and allows us to begin identifying goals for your care.

Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, education about your condition, and strategies to support your emotional well-being. I encourage open communication and collaboration, so you will always be involved in decisions about your care.

If appropriate and desired, I am also open to incorporating faith-based perspectives into our work, providing an additional source of strength and guidance while respecting your individual beliefs.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a better understanding of your symptoms, a clear direction for treatment, and a plan for next steps. My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, informed, and hopeful about your journey toward improved mental health.
