Great to meet you!

With nearly 14 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to therapy for individuals and couples. My background includes seven years as a school counselor, four years as a school-based therapist, and three years in private practice within a local group setting. I am sandtray certified and EMDR trained, with specialized experience supporting clients navigating trauma, anxiety, and chronic illness. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths based. I believe in treating the whole person, recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to the many intersecting areas of life, including relationships, identity, physical health, community, and environment. I work to create a space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and empowered to build on their existing strengths while navigating life’s challenges.

I am a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities and value creating an inclusive, affirming therapeutic environment for clients of all backgrounds and identities. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, and as a caregiver for a loved one with special healthcare needs, I also bring lived experience, empathy, and understanding to the work I do with clients navigating complex systems, chronic stress, and caregiving roles.

What you can expect from me

Individuals and couples can expect to be welcomed exactly as they are. I understand that beginning therapy often comes with a range of emotions, including anxiety, uncertainty, or fear — especially for those who may have had difficult or disappointing experiences with therapy in the past. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment from the very beginning.

The first session is centered on getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, and determining whether we feel like a good fit to work together. Together, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and what you hope to gain from the process moving forward.
