Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Kerrin Sendrowitz O’Connor, a licensed psychologist based in New York and Wisconsin. I specialize in helping adults work through interpersonal difficulties, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, sleep issues, and grief. I also have a special focus on supporting expecting parents, new parents, and individuals navigating the challenges of fertility and parenthood.

In therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, cared for, and truly connected. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify patterns that may be preventing them from reaching their full potential, whether in their mental health or in achieving their broader life goals. While I bring my expertise as a psychologist to our work, I also believe that you are the expert of your own life. Together, we’ll explore your unique identity and experiences in order to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

Overall, I take a warm, approachable, and often humorous stance in therapy. While I offer guidance and tools to help you create lasting change, I also aim to make our work feel like a partnership. You can expect a balanced approach—one that combines tough love with lightness, humor, and hope. My clients often tell me they feel accepted for who they are, while also being inspired to take action and make improvements in their lives.

A strengths-based perspective is integral to my belief on how we make meaningful changes. Some psychological approaches I use in therapy include interpersonal therapy, cultural-relational and feminist theories, psychodynamic approaches, and humanistic therapy. However, to create more tangible action and change, I often times include tools based in DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

In our initial sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and exploring what’s bringing you to therapy. You’ll also learn practical tools to better understand your thoughts, feelings, and needs, which will help you move toward a more fulfilled and balanced life.

I’m passionate about this work because I believe in making the most of this one life we have. A strong, healthy relationship with mental health is key to living a fulfilling life, and I am deeply honored to help guide my clients toward greater well-being. Witnessing clients grow, heal, and transform into healthier, happier versions of themselves is a privilege that continually inspires me.

I’d be honored to join you on your journey of self-discovery and growth. Together, we’ll work toward a future that brings you more of what you want and less of what you don’t.
