Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kesha, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you can be honest, heard, and supported without judgment. I take a compassionate, person-centered approach to counseling and work collaboratively with my clients to help them better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and create meaningful changes in their lives.

I have experience supporting individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship and family challenges, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, and the everyday pressures that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I also enjoy working with clients who are struggling to balance their personal, family, and professional responsibilities while trying to take care of themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, practical, and individualized. Rather than simply telling you what to do, I want to understand your experiences, identify what is getting in the way, and work with you to develop strategies that fit your life. Depending on your needs, sessions may incorporate cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, strengths-based, and other evidence-informed approaches.

Whether you are going through a difficult season, feeling stuck, trying to improve your relationships, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, you don’t have to figure everything out alone. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and take meaningful steps toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. I want you to feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace, without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out.

We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what has been challenging, and what you would like to be different in your life. We’ll also explore your strengths, existing support systems, and the goals you would like to work toward in therapy.

Together, we’ll begin identifying practical steps that can help you manage current challenges and move toward the changes you want to make. Depending on your needs, we may begin discussing coping strategies or other tools that you can use between sessions.

Most importantly, I want your first session to feel like the beginning of a collaborative relationship. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work together to develop goals and an approach that feels appropriate for you. You don’t have to come into therapy with all the answers—you simply have to be willing to start.
