Great to meet you!

Ever since I was in high school, friends naturally gravitated toward me for advice. People felt comfortable sharing what was going on with them, and as I got older, I decided to dedicate my life to developing the professional skills needed to truly help people in their time of need. Today, with 18 years of clinical experience, it is a profound privilege to help adolescents, adults, and families establish a safe, empowering baseline for their care. I specialize in treating trauma, anger management, depression, and severe anxiety. I have a strong focus on helping clients who are having difficulty with panic attacks and want to develop tangible skills to better manage those overwhelming moments. When I am not in session, I love to stay grounded by playing chess, shooting pool, dominoes, and backgammon, whether in person or online.

My approach to therapy

I believe that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance rigorous, evidence-based practices with a deeply authentic human connection. I approach every session with patience, thoroughness, and capability to ensure you feel completely supported. My practice heavily utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing tools and skills to assist clients with anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them find new insights and more positive ways of being. I am also highly mindful of assessing for Dissociative Identity Disorder using specific protocols, and I have the ability to utilize parts work when EMDR is not advisable. By blending these trauma-informed methods with Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy, we will collaboratively outline tangible goals that translate into meaningful, lasting change in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support takes immense courage, and my hope is that our initial time together acts as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. During our first session, I strive to cultivate a calm, non-judgmental environment right from the start. We will gently explore your history, symptoms, and the specific challenges bringing you to therapy at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to share everything all at once. Whether you are seeking relief from panic disorders or navigating complex trauma, my primary focus is ensuring you feel fully heard and validated as we collaboratively design a clear roadmap tailored entirely to your client-centered goals.
