Great to meet you!

Life is hard sometimes. We all get bruised. Maybe you feel caught in a loveless relationship; trapped in a job you don't like; traumatized, or even addicted. Maybe you're simply unfulfilled and wanting more; either way, feeling stuck or hopeless doesn't have to be a way of life. It's my goal to help you discover solutions that are right for you. I'm a professionally trained, licensed, and experienced therapist--but a realistic, logical, and heartfelt human being most of all.

My approach to therapy

I try to meet clients where they are, and generally work from a very humanistic, person-centered perspective. I view the relationship as a therapeutic tool while tailoring interventions to meet the specific moment. I share with clients that I view my role as "sherpa," navigating the rugged terrain of their own unique journeys while traveling alongside with professionally packed tools strategic to one's own path. In this way, I consider myself a "co-journeyer." Sometimes we walk together slowly toward healing, bearing witness to personal experiences; sometimes we endeavor by problem-solving, climbing together toward a chosen end-goal. Whatever that goal--whether learning cognitive coping strategies, or healing from trauma--it's a collaborative effort, and my aim to help you get there.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to receive thoughtful, careful, robust and imaginative care. They can anticipate feeling seen and heard in a way that matters effectively. Most of all, they'll understand that they're not alone on the journey--that someone is in it with them.
