Great to meet you!

Sometimes life simply becomes heavy.

You may be carrying anxiety, depression, grief, everyday stress, or facing a major life transition and wondering, "How did I get here?" Maybe you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of someone to talk to who will truly listen without judgment.

I specialize in working with adults and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. Whether you're adjusting to retirement, coping with loss, facing health challenges, or trying to make sense of life's next chapter, you don't have to do it alone.

I'm passionate about this work because I've been there myself. I know what it's like to battle anxiety and depression, and I believe there is a better path forward, and I'd be honored to help you discover it.. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged as we work together toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel genuine, collaborative, and practical. While the work can sometimes be challenging, I don't believe therapy has to feel heavy all the time. Humor, encouragement, and authentic human connection can be powerful tools for healing.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. Together, we'll explore the thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences that may be contributing to your current challenges while identifying strengths that can help you move forward.

Drawing from experiences in church settings, private practice, and correctional facilities, I bring a broad perspective and deep respect for each person's unique story. Whether you're working through anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, stress, or a major life transition, we'll focus on practical tools that support lasting growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, we'll take time to get to know each other and explore what brought you to therapy. We'll look for those important moments of insight—the "aha" moments—that can help make sense of what you're experiencing and identify a path forward.

You can expect a warm, respectful, and supportive environment where your experiences are valued and your goals matter. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling understood, encouraged, and equipped with practical strategies you can use in everyday life.
