Great to meet you!

It’s wonderful to meet you! Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. I’m an Ivy League educated, PhD-level Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) and an Internationally Certified Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC), with 25+ years in both therapist and clinical supervisor roles working with a diverse range of adults from ages 18 – 95 encountering a wide spectrum of experiences. This includes: mental health, trauma, grief/loss, substance use, grief/loss, domestic/interpersonal violence issues, in addition to family, relationship, LGBTQ+, transgender, veteran, employment experiences, navigating toxic work environments, financial, housing, legal, criminal justice/incarceration and other life challenges.

My approach to therapy

I am extensively trained in the latest evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT). Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners, collaborators and a team in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly, and you feel respected in our relationship. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

What you can expect from me

Participating in therapy is a major decision and investment. My goal is that you always “feel heard and seen,” that your needs are being met and feel prepared to move forward and through life with greater clarity, peace and fulfillment as therapy progresses. We’ll work together to figure all this out!

If you're looking for a therapist that is extremely experienced in a wide range of client life experiences, very open minded, utilizes a non-judgmental, holistic, collaborative approach specifically tailored around your needs, please consider contacting me.
