Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience supporting adults and couples through personal, relational, and professional challenges. My work is rooted in helping clients better understand themselves, move through difficult seasons, and make meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

In recent years, much of my work has focused on men’s mental health, including the personal, professional, emotional, and spiritual challenges many men carry. As a minority male in the counseling field, I value creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and safe enough to be honest about what they are going through. I also work with clients navigating grief, identity-related concerns, relationships, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and long-standing emotional patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

My goal is to support clients in building insight, increasing self-awareness, and developing practical tools that help them move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and growth-oriented. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership—one where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences openly while also being challenged toward meaningful progress.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches depending on each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Poly-Vagal Therapy (PVT), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, attachment-based work, and solution-focused techniques. I also incorporate strengths-based and relational approaches to help clients better understand their patterns, improve communication, and create healthier ways of coping and connecting.

Whether we are addressing trauma, relationship concerns, grief, identity, ADHD-related challenges, or stress from work and life demands, I aim to tailor the work to each client’s goals, pace, and readiness for change. I value honest reflection, practical problem-solving, and helping clients build on the strengths they already have.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, thoughtful introduction and a chance for us to get to know one another. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, the concerns you would like support with, and what you hope to gain from the process.

Clients can also expect a balanced approach: space to be heard and understood, along with practical direction and a clear sense of next steps. I want you to leave the first session feeling more grounded, more hopeful, and more confident about what our work together can look like.
