Great to meet you!

Dr. Kevin Milligan is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor in the state of Texas. I graduated with his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents navigating challenges with depression, anxiety, setting healthy boundaries, regulating emotions, unhelpful thoughts, or any number of other life challenges, I want to help you understand the role you can take and what you can change to better your situation.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids, coaching my kids in baseball and softball, going to the gym, and being involved in sports.

My approach to therapy

I work with emerging adults and adolescents navigating challenges with depression, anxiety, setting healthy boundaries, regulating emotions, unhelpful thoughts, low self-esteem or any number of other life challenges, I want to help you understand the role you can take and how you can improve your situation. Maybe you're unsure of who you are, often second-guessing yourself, difficulty balancing work and life, overthinking every conversation - you're not alone. Life has it's challenges and knowing you don't have to navigate those challenges alone can be empowering and healing.

My eclectic approach to counseling offers a safe space for adults, young professionals, and adolescents to process the challenges of life and learn healthy skills to cope with the difficulties we experience. I will be open and honest throughout our time together in order to provide the best opportunity for growth and change in your life.

Yesterday may not have been great, but today and tomorrow can be better. I want to be part of your journey and help you uncover your potential to heal. I offer a Free 15-Minute Intro call where we can talk through your questions, your expectations for counseling, and see if we are a good match for therapy.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, I will take the time to get to you know and your situation better. I will prioritize building a relationship with you to better understand your story and build a strong foundation of trust, acceptance, and affirmation. I will ask questions to gain better insight into what makes you, you, and what strengths and values you bring to your healing process.
