Great to meet you!
I enjoy getting to know each person’s unique story, including the challenges they face and the strengths they bring to the counseling process. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to support each client’s individual goals and needs.
My professional background in both the criminal justice and education fields has given me experience working with people from diverse walks of life and a deeper understanding of the stressors many individuals face. In addition to my professional experience, my personal experiences have also shaped how I connect with clients. Living with Type 1 diabetes has given me firsthand insight into managing chronic illness, stress, resilience, and the emotional impact of long-term health challenges. I’m also in a long-term marriage with my husband, Jeff, which helps inform my understanding of relationships, communication, commitment, and LGBTQ+ experiences.
I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward meaningful personal growth.
