Great to meet you!

My name is Kevin Tate, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked as a counselor and as an educator of future counselors for 15 years, and love the work I do! I work with clients who are going through complex life transitions such as career/work changes, relationship changes, health challenges, family conflicts/concerns. I also work with clients going through more broad changes such as aging, religious/spiritual concerns, or seeking a deeper purpose in life.

My approach to therapy

My philosophy of counseling is to shape the work I do around the needs, goals, and overall direction that you want to address.

If you have very focused, concrete issues you would like to address, I use a solution-focused approach to create focused change. If you have more significant, deep things to address, my approach is to seek deeper purpose and meaning that will serve as a foundation for deeper change for you as a whole person.

What you can expect from me

I believe each session should be focused on moving you toward the changes you seek. We will do this by clearly stating what you are seeking, considering the strengths and resources you bring to the process, and using those strengths to address the issue at-hand.

If you'd like to learn more about my background and approach, please take a look at my website - www.kevinatate.com
