Great to meet you!

I’m Keyee (pronounced Kay-E) Koneh, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey with several years of experience in behavioral health and social services. My background includes counseling, case management, and providing individual and group therapy across outpatient, intensive outpatient, and community-based settings. I’ve worked with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, and serious mental health concerns.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest, feel understood, and still be challenged to grow. I enjoy helping clients gain insight, develop practical tools, and make meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, person-centered, intuitive, insight-oriented, and conversational while remaining grounded in evidence-based care. I want therapy to feel collaborative, not like you’re being talked at or analyzed from across the room.

Depending on your needs, I may incorporate CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, solution-focused interventions, and trauma-informed care. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling and can thoughtfully integrate faith, prayer, and biblical principles into our work.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another without pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, what’s important to you, and what you hope will change. I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs and history, while giving you space to share at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what our work might look like moving forward. You can expect warmth, curiosity, honesty, and practical support from the very beginning.
