Great to meet you!

I am Khandice Popley, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than seven years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, and psychiatric care. My career has been shaped by both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the challenges and stigma surrounding mental health.

I specialize in patient-centered care, and evidence-based treatment. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) to advance my skill in evidence-based practice, leadership in mental health, mentor future clinicians, and strengthen system-level improvements that expand equitable access to care.

As a caregiver, my commitment is to provide compassionate, high-quality mental health services that support recovery, enhance transitions of care, and improve patient outcomes. I believe in the power of collaboration, innovation, and dignity in every step of the healing process.

Welcome,

Khandice Popley MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to care. I work with clients to understand their goals and develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and education.

I focus on treating the whole person by considering biological, psychological, and social factors, and I prioritize open communication and shared decision-making. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, informed, and empowered in their care.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a thorough and supportive psychiatric evaluation focused on understanding their concerns, history, and goals. I take time to listen, ask questions, and ensure clients feel comfortable sharing at their own pace.

Together, we will discuss treatment options, set initial goals, and outline a plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and education. My goal is to create a calm, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, informed, and confident moving forward.
