Great to meet you!

I'm Kiana Armstrong, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I’ve spent my career helping individuals navigate complex emotions, past trauma, and internalized shame that often stem from childhood neglect, abuse, or relational wounds. My passion lies in supporting those who feel they’ve had to carry too much for too long—those who are ready to begin the healing process and rediscover their sense of self.

I specialize in working with adults and teens experiencing PTSD, trauma-related stress, low self-worth, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. With experience in both individual and group settings, I bring compassion, insight, and deep respect for your lived experiences to every session.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful method that helps clients process and heal from distressing memories and trauma. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies to support emotional regulation, insight, and resilience.

I believe healing begins in safe, collaborative spaces where clients can explore their stories with curiosity—not judgment. Therapy with me is tailored to your unique needs, at your pace.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave sessions with greater emotional clarity, practical tools for daily challenges, and a deeper understanding of your story and patterns. If we incorporate EMDR into our work, many clients report feeling a significant reduction in emotional distress tied to past trauma.

Whether we are working through intense emotions, trauma, or simply seeking growth, I aim to help you build confidence, reclaim your voice, and move forward with greater self-awareness and stability.
