Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. My clinical interests include working with individuals who have been impacted by the effects of trauma. I have experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, children in the foster care system, and victims and survivors of sexual assault. I also have assessment experience in community mental health and inpatient psychiatric settings.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I want to remind mothers to acknowledge and celebrate their person, their identity, and THEMSELVES. In order to encourage and remind mothers to celebrate themselves, I must be able to help them navigate the struggles and stressors that come with their number one job, being a mother. I also feel it's important to have new mothers' families on board so that they can help "take a load off" and remind the mother that she has to be kind to herself as well as caring for child.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to feel seen, heard, supported, and not judged. Clients can come to session and know that this is their safe space and time for them to focus solely on themselves. I want clients to use our sessions as a form of self-care and to not feel guilty for practicing selfishness as too often mothers give so much of themselves to the world and others, leaving no time for themselves.
