Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kiara D. Smith, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges in both mental health and community settings. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people facing trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, reentry challenges, and complex situations. I help my clients build coping skills, strengthen their emotional well‐being, and work toward goals that matter to them.

My approach to therapy

My approach is simple and human: conversation. I value your thoughts, your feelings, and your experiences. My therapeutic style is direct, supportive, and grounded in practical tools you can use in everyday life. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, and strengths-based treatment planning.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. You can expect to be heard, supported, and empowered throughout your healing journey. I provide a confidential space where we identify patterns, build skills, and set realistic goals together. We will examine how your thoughts and emotions relate to your behaviors, and we will develop a practical, achievable plan to support your recovery.
