Great to meet you!

I am an LCSW specializing in supporting young adults and adults to navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, and life transitions.

I take a collaborative therapeutic approach, and we will work together to create the therapy that is right for you. I like to make sure we are building on our sessions over time to get to the root of what is causing the way you are feeling rather than just treating the surface symptoms; however, we will also be sure to develop actionable strategies to manage the way the challenges show up in the present.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy can support you in facing challenges from both ends - both engaging with what is affecting you in the moment, developing coping skills, and working on communication and relationship patterns that are destabilizing, and working backwards to uncover the roots of your patterns. We can identify and rewrite maladaptive patterns and narratives that you were taught that don't hold true in your life anymore.

I don't believe in promising a "safe space" because true growth often emerges from embracing discomfort and confronting fears. Instead, I'm committed to creating a brave and trusting environment where you can build resilience, face your challenges head-on, and discover your inner strength.

What you can expect from me

Our first session may be unlike our typical sessions, as I want to make sure that I am getting a full picture of who you are, what you have been through, and what you are facing. I may ask about your relationships, your experience with mental health in your life, your family, your experience in school, and generally, what is bringing you to therapy! I will also throw a good amount of logistics at you. The first session will likely be packed with information in both directions, but not to worry, we don't need to get everything out there right away. Anything that we don't get to on day one we can make time for down the line!
