Great to meet you!

Introduction / Bio

Welcome- I’m Kiki. I am glad you are here.

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping people build confidence in who they are, heal from past experiences, and live more authentically.

I believe that we don’t sabotage happiness because we don’t want it — we sabotage it because chaos or depression feels familiar. Therapy helps make peace, joy, and stability feel safe and possible.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over eight years working in addiction residential treatment centers in various roles including technician, counselor, art instructor, and therapist. That experience gave me a strong foundation in working with trauma, addiction, mental health challenges, and family dynamics. It continues to shape the way I work with clients today.

I now work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when it moves at your pace and focuses on what matters most to you.

While therapy is often about healing from trauma, pain, or difficult life experiences, I also believe therapy is about learning how to sit with peace, experience joy, and create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling — not just surviving, but actually living.

I often integrate mindfulness, attachment work, inner child work, and creative approaches such as writing, art, and other forms of expression when it is helpful in the healing process. We may work on understanding patterns, processing past experiences, challenging unhelpful thoughts, and developing healthier ways of coping and relating to others.

I view therapy as a collaborative process grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you understand yourself, build resilience, and create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

From the very first session, we will work together to define what healing and progress look like for you. Goals are personal and flexible, and they often evolve as therapy unfolds.

Some common things my clients work on include:

  • Reducing anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm
  • Learning emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Healing from trauma and past experiences
  • Building self-confidence, boundaries, and resilience
  • Improving communication and emotional intimacy in relationships
  • Breaking unhealthy patterns and building more secure attachment
  • Navigating life transitions and identity changes
  • Building a life that feels peaceful, meaningful, and fulfilling

You can expect me to be supportive, honest, compassionate, and sometimes gently challenging when needed. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered to create the life and relationships you want.
