Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Kim Morochnick Herrera, a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Therapist — I offer sessions in English or Spanish, and I bring a multicultural lens shaped by my own experiences living and working across cultures. I support clients from age 12 through seniors through challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, abuse, life transitions, and identity struggles. My approach is holistic: evidence-based methods alongside a whole-person view of wellness. My goal is for every client to feel genuinely heard and ready to build a life they want.

My approach to therapy

I draw primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy — adapting what I use to what each person actually needs. ACT is especially useful when anxiety or depression feels immovable: it helps loosen the grip of difficult thoughts without demanding they disappear first. Throughout, I carve out space to process feelings rather than just strategize around them — so that things like guilt, anger, and fear can begin to decrease, and resilience, happiness, and real engagement with life can grow. Cultural sensitivity isn't just a value for me; it's shaped by lived experience.

What you can expect from me

I follow my client's lead and needs with a variety of approaches including Engaged listening, Person-Centered, CBT techniques, Behavioral therapy and Nutrition Integration. My personal and professional experiences and challenges, as well as living and traveling abroad, contribute to my success as a therapist. Feel free to reach out for an intro call.
