Great to meet you!

I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with experience caring for patients across the lifespan in psychiatry and emergency medicine settings. I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma-related conditions, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. I provide medication management, supportive therapy, patient education, and evidence-based treatment while staying current on evolving research and best practices in mental health care.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe mental health treatment should be individualized, practical, and focused on the whole person rather than only symptoms or diagnoses. I work closely with clients to understand their concerns, strengths, goals, lifestyle, and previous treatment experiences so we can develop a plan that feels realistic and supportive.

I strive to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open about their experiences. I value clear communication, patient education, and shared decision-making, and I encourage clients to take an active role in their treatment. My style is supportive and solution-focused while also recognizing the importance of long-term wellness and sustainable coping strategies.

Treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, behavioral strategies, and coordination with other healthcare professionals when appropriate. I stay current on evolving research and treatment guidelines to provide high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to each client’s needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where they can openly discuss their concerns, symptoms, goals, and experiences. During the first session, I focus on getting to know the whole person, not just the diagnosis. We will review your mental health history, current symptoms, medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, stressors, and any previous treatment experiences to develop a comprehensive understanding of your needs.

My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their care. Together, we will discuss treatment goals, explore options, and create an individualized plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, education, and coordination of care when appropriate. I encourage questions and believe treatment works best when it is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique situation.

Clients can also expect evidence-based care, open communication, and a practical approach focused on improving overall functioning, emotional wellness, and quality of life.
