Great to meet you!

If your life has been impacted by a serious illness, you are not alone. As a clinical social worker, I help people who have had their lives turned upside down by their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one with a serious illness. I can help you understand the complex mix of feelings you are experiencing, give you tools to help manage high-stress situations, and explore the impact of the diagnosis on your relationships.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Our work together will be driven by your goals and what you hope to get out of therapy. My approach weaves together cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. I have worked with older adults with a range of diagnoses, adults with a cancer diagnosis, and hospice care, as well as caregivers.

What you can expect from our first session

While I don’t have a “magic wand” to solve all the challenges of living with a serious illness, together, we can work towards what matters most to you. Starting therapy can be scary. Finding the right therapist doesn’t always happen on the first try. You are welcome to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to see if we would be a good fit. Reach out to me via phone or email to get started.
