Great to meet you!

Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, especially when you’ve been trying to manage everything on your own. I work with adults and adolescents who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply unsure of what to do next. You may be navigating depression, trauma, relationship or family challenges, grief, stress, or a difficult transition in your life. Whatever brings you in, you don’t have to have it all figured out. I’m warm, approachable, and genuinely interested in understanding your experience, not judging it. I want therapy to be a place where you can exhale, be yourself, and feel like you don’t have to carry everything alone.

My approach to therapy

I believe feeling understood is important, but I also want therapy to help you make changes outside of our sessions. We’ll take time to understand what you’re going through, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and identify strengths you can build on. From there, we can develop practical strategies for coping differently, communicating more effectively, and moving toward what you want for yourself. I draw from approaches including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, but I don’t believe therapy should feel one-size-fits-all. We’ll find an approach that fits you, your experiences, and the goals you want to work toward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know you. I’ll want to understand what has been going on, what brought you to therapy now, and what you would like to feel different in your life. You’re welcome to come with specific goals, but you don’t need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We’ll start with what feels most important to you, and together we can begin making sense of what you’re experiencing and what you need moving forward. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and a little clearer about where we can go from here.
