Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm so glad you're here.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating a major life transition, or simply trying to find your footing again, you're not alone. Life can bring unexpected challenges, and it's okay to ask for support. I'm Kim Reed-Hartley, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in counseling, and I work with individuals who are ready to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable being exactly who you are.

My background includes counseling in both educational and wellness settings, giving me experience supporting people through life's many changes. I specialize in helping clients manage stress, navigate life transitions, build healthy coping skills, strengthen self confidence, and reconnect with the version of themselves they want to become. I believe therapy should feel approachable, practical, and tailored to your unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. I believe the best therapy happens when you feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to explore both the challenges you're facing and the strengths you already have. Together, we'll focus on understanding what's getting in your way while building realistic tools that fit your everyday life. Rather than offering one size fits all solutions, I personalize each session to meet you where you are. My approach is centered on open conversation, encouragement, and practical strategies you can begin using right away. Whether you're facing a difficult transition, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or simply looking for greater clarity and balance, we'll work together to create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first experience or you're unsure of what to expect. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. In our sessions, you'll find a relaxed, judgment free space where you can share your story at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported while we explore what matters most to you.

Together, we'll identify meaningful goals, celebrate progress along the way, and build practical skills that help you feel more confident outside of our sessions. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a deep breath, gain perspective, and leave each session with greater hope, clarity, and a stronger sense of direction.

Taking the first step toward therapy is an act of courage, and you don't have to do it alone. Whatever brought you here, you deserve a space where you feel supported, respected, and empowered to grow. When you're ready, I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you build the life and future you want for yourself. I look forward to meeting you.
