Great to meet you!

I'm Kimana LeMaster, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), and I do the work I do because I believe everyone deserves a therapist who truly understands their world. I provide telehealth services throughout Louisiana from my New Orleans-based practice.

I specialize in working with those who walk their own path—particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and those practicing ENM or polyamory, as well as those recovering from spiritual or religious abuse. My treatment areas include trauma recovery, relationship challenges, religious trauma and spiritual exploration after leaving harmful faith environments, identity development, and anxiety/depression. You deserve to heal old wounds without sacrificing your hard-earned freedom.

My approach to therapy

I believe your biggest struggles can also reveal your greatest strengths. What others call "broken," I call brilliant. Those intense coping strategies you developed? The patterns people label as "self-sabotage"? They were creative solutions that got you through impossible situations. Now we work together to redirect those strengths toward building the life you actually want.

I integrate Person-Centered therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative therapy, and Strengths-Based therapy, among others. This means I meet you where you are, honor your internal wisdom, and help you reclaim your story on your own terms. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you discover what healing and wholeness mean for you.

I create a space that's fully affirming, kink-positive, and honors your life choices instead of pathologizing them. Therapy with me is collaborative, non-judgmental, and focused on helping you step into your power exactly as you are.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other and making sure we're a good fit. You can expect a warm, judgment-free conversation where I genuinely want to understand your story, your struggles, and what brings you to therapy right now.

We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and any immediate concerns or goals you have. I'll ask about your background, relationships, and what matters most to you—but you're always in control of what you share and when. This is your space.

I'll also share how I work and answer any questions you have about therapy, my approach, or what our work together might look like. There's no pressure to dive into heavy topics right away if you're not ready. First sessions are as much about building trust and safety as they are about information gathering.

You'll leave with a sense of whether I'm the right therapist for you, and we'll start developing a collaborative plan for moving forward. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and hopeful that change is possible.
