Great to meet you!

18 Years of Psychiatric Nursing

As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of psychiatric experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, I sincerely believe that everyone is important, unique, and deserving of psychiatric mental help and support.

As a psychiatric nurse for the past two decades, I've worked with children, teens, adults, and seniors across the lifespan.

I have many years of experience with patients considered acute, such as those incarcerated, struggling with drug and alcohol addictions, serious mental illness, psychosis, suicidal ideation, eating disorders and self harm, bullying in school and in the workplace, and veterans/first responders in need of care for trauma/PTSD. I also have extensive experience with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and those experiencing chronic illiness, as well as providing an emotional lifeline for their caregivers in need of support.

Please reach out to me, so we can talk! There is no judgement here.

My approach to therapy

As a Psychistric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe maintaining a honest line of communication is paramount to recovery! I would not be simply nodding my head, taking notes, or watching the clock, but instead I'll show you the respect of genuinely listening to your concerns. I'm more than willing to meet with you in an open, empathic, and supportive manner, and trust me when I say that I've encountered patients from every walk of life, from acute to chronic, in crisis and in various stages while on the road to recovery, so I can't imagine that anything you would say would shock me!

What you can expect from me

You can fully anticipate being met in a warm and welcoming manner, with a genuine smile and a nonjudgemental perspective! I will encourage you to speak to me as openly as possible about where you are in your journey, what your goals are, and how I can most effectively meet you there so we can walk together as a team. You can anticipate an atmosphere of kindness and inclusion, and to have found a place to relax and be yourself while we work together to seek the solutions and care that you need on your road to recovery.
