Kimberley Sterling

Hi! Welcome to Inner Light Counseling Services! My name is Kimberley Sterling. If you are looking for some assistance, I am glad you found me! Here is a little of my background information. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I work with clients from many different backgrounds, and have experience counseling individuals from age 12 and up, as well as couples and families. I have a warm and caring approach, and I strive to provide a safe space for processing emotions and healing.

The therapeutic techniques I use consistently include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. These types of therapy styles explore the meanings we attach to significant events in our lives as well as to help break the cycle of negative thought patterns that have developed over time, and to help develop much more realistic and healthy mindsets. I also utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) if it is beneficial to a client's healing.

My purpose is not to walk ahead of you, telling you where to go, nor is it to walk behind you, picking up the pieces, but rather to walk beside you, giving you support on your healing journey and working collaboratively with you to find solutions that work for you! You’ll find that I have a soft approach, and that I will wholeheartedly encourage you to find strength and power within yourself. I fully believe in fostering growth and change through helping you discover your own ability to heal.
