Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kimberly Burtt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, or behavioral concerns, you don't have to face it alone.

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Longwood University and my Master of Social Work from Walden University. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, authenticity, and respect.

I believe that growth and healing are possible for everyone. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical tools to manage challenges, and work toward meaningful, lasting change that supports the life you want to create.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I help clients recognize their strengths and build on them to create meaningful and lasting change.

I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help clients develop practical coping skills, navigate challenges, and gain confidence in their ability to move forward. Together, we'll work to better understand what's getting in the way, identify achievable goals, and create a path toward greater balance, resilience, and well-being.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel exciting, overwhelming, or even a little nerve wracking, and that's completely normal. During our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to achieve.

My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel safe sharing at your own pace. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges, and together we'll begin identifying goals for our work. You don't need to have everything figured out before you start. Our first session is simply the beginning of building a therapeutic relationship and creating a plan that feels right for you.
