Great to meet you!

You do not have to carry everything alone, and you do not have to have the perfect words before starting therapy. Hi, I’m Kimberly, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 13 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, crisis, stress, emotional overwhelm, and other difficult seasons of life. Many of the people I work with feel stuck, anxious, disconnected, burned out, or unsure how to move forward after experiences that have left them feeling hurt, overwhelmed, or unlike themselves. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up completely as you are without fear of judgment. My goal is to provide a warm, steady, honest, and compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while we begin working toward meaningful change. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, emotional pain, or a season of crisis, I want you to know that healing does not have to happen all at once. We will move at a pace that feels right for you while helping you build clarity, confidence, and practical tools for moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, honest, collaborative, and deeply human. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be real - not polished, not perfect, and not pressured to have everything figured out. In session, we will explore what you are carrying, what has been feeling heavy, and what patterns may be keeping you stuck. This may include working through anxiety, trauma responses, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, crisis-related concerns, low self-esteem, boundaries, communication, or difficulty trusting yourself. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, goals, and pace, while also helping you develop practical tools you can use outside of session. Together, we may work on building coping skills, strengthening emotional regulation, identifying triggers, improving self-awareness, processing painful experiences, and creating healthier ways to respond to stress and relationships. My style is compassionate, grounded, and supportive, but also honest when honesty can help you grow. I believe therapy should help you feel understood while also giving you a clear path toward healing, confidence, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported from the start. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope will change through our work together. You may be seeking support for anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, crisis, self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin, and you do not have to share everything all at once. We will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. I will listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and work with you to begin identifying your goals, strengths, challenges, and next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, less alone, and more clear about how therapy can support your healing, growth, and ability to move forward.
