Great to meet you!
When I first entered the field, I worked primarily with children and quickly noticed how many carried histories of sexual or physical abuse or neglect. Over time, it became clear that to truly help children heal, we also needed to support their parents—many of whom had their own unresolved trauma. It is incredibly difficult for caregivers to protect and attune to their children’s needs when they themselves were never protected, and when healthy boundaries were never modeled or taught.
This recognition led me to seek out treatment approaches that could empower parents with the skills necessary to build the lives they wanted for themselves and their families. Through my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I began teaching clients how to cultivate a loving, compassionate relationship with themselves as the foundation for healing. DBT’s emphasis on mindfulness, breath work, relaxation, nutrition, exercise, and other forms of intentional self-care naturally guided me toward trauma-informed wellness—and eventually toward the creation of Rock Creek Wellness.
I believe deeply that I am meant to use my gifts as both a therapist and a business owner to support those in need. I am passionate about working with people from all walks of life and belief systems, welcoming each person into a safe, respectful space where they feel valued, cared for, and understood.
