Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Counselor in Florida with experience supporting adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, substance use, and recovery. I have also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and continue to participate in consultation. I was drawn to becoming a therapist because I wanted to help people feel less alone, better understand the experiences that have shaped them, and recognize that their past does not have to define their future. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, culturally responsive, and direct. I create a nonjudgmental space where clients can explore difficult emotions, identify patterns, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I tend to connect best with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in repeated patterns, or unsure of how to move forward. Some are entering therapy for the first time, while others understand what they are struggling with but need support making changes. Clients often appreciate that I listen without judgment, offer honest feedback, and balance compassion with accountability. What makes my approach different is my experience working with both mental health concerns and substance use recovery. I understand that trauma, relationships, emotional health, coping behaviors, and life circumstances are often connected. When therapy is going well, clients may feel more confident managing emotions, setting boundaries, communicating their needs, strengthening relationships, and making choices that align with the life they want to create.

What you can expect from me

Something people may be surprised to learn about me is that, although my work is often focused on serious and difficult experiences, I also have a lighthearted side, I value humor, balance, and finding moments of laughter everyday life.
