Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 20 years of experience supporting adults through depression, anxiety, grief, spiritual challenges, life transitions, and chronic or end-stage health conditions. I provide compassionate, clinically grounded therapy for individuals seeking healing, clarity, and renewed emotional strength during difficult seasons of life.

I specialize in culturally responsive care for people of color, honoring the unique lived experiences, cultural strengths, and resilience present within each client’s story. My approach recognizes how identity, culture, faith, and community shape the healing process and influence emotional well-being.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), faith-integrated counseling, and medical social work. My professional experience spans community mental health, hospital and medical settings, faith-based environments, and private practice, allowing me to support clients navigating both emotional and health-related challenges.

I serve adults, professionals, caregivers, individuals managing chronic illness, and those navigating significant life transitions. I also support clients seeking spiritual alignment, renewed faith, and deeper meaning in their healing journey.

My work is rooted in compassion and the belief that healing, restoration, and renewed purpose are possible. I am committed to walking alongside you as you rekindle your faith, restore hope, and rediscover the strength that already exists within you.

No matter where you are on your journey, HOPE Abounds.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, collaborative, and holistic, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with whole-person care, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit in the healing process.

In our work together, therapy is a supportive and collaborative space where insight, practical tools, and emotional healing can develop simultaneously. I help clients explore patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior while building healthier coping strategies for managing depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic or serious health conditions.

Together, we will:

• Identify underlying patterns and root challenges while developing practical and achievable strategies for meaningful change

• Strengthen emotional resilience and coping skills to navigate stress, uncertainty, and life transitions

• Integrate faith-based or spiritual principles, when desired, as a source of healing, guidance, and hope

• Explore meaning, purpose, identity, and personal values to support deeper self-understanding

• Cultivate peace, clarity, and confidence while building sustainable wellness

My goal is to help you experience lasting change, renewed empowerment, and deeper self-understanding as you move forward with greater stability, purpose, and hope.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and solution-focused environment where you feel heard, respected, and safe to be yourself.

We will begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and discussing the concerns, experiences, or transitions that are most important for you to address. Together, we will identify your goals, needs, and priorities for therapy while gaining a clearer understanding of what healing, stability, and growth look like in your life.

We will also begin outlining a personalized and thoughtful approach to your care, identifying strategies and supports that can strengthen your emotional well-being, personal resilience, and overall sense of balance.

By the end of the session, my hope is that you feel encouraged, grounded, and confident about the direction of your healing journey, with a clear understanding that you are supported throughout the process.
