Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kimberly Galvez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience supporting individuals, couples, and families across nearly every stage of life. Working with such a wide range of people and concerns has given me a strong clinical foundation, but it has also taught me to stay curious, ask thoughtful questions, and never assume I already understand someone’s story.

My style is warm, collaborative, and intentional. I want you to feel heard and safe, while also knowing that I am actively engaged in the work through reflection, thoughtful questions, clinical insight, and direction when you need it. I especially enjoy helping teens, young adults, and adults better understand themselves, work through anxiety and relationship patterns, build healthier boundaries, and make meaningful changes, often using psychoeducation and cognitive and behavioral tools to help those changes feel both understandable and lasting.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and active. I meet clients where they are, while also bringing thoughtful questions, reflection, structure, and direction when it is helpful. I often use psychoeducation, cognitive and behavioral tools, and exploration of past experiences to help clients better understand their patterns, build self-compassion, and make meaningful changes that last. I especially enjoy working with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, boundaries, people-pleasing, relationship concerns, family dynamics, avoidance, and patterns they are ready to change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about more than gathering background information. I want to understand what brings you in, what you hope to get from therapy, what has or has not worked for you before, and even what you do not want from a therapist. If therapy is new to you, we will also talk about what to expect so the process feels clear and comfortable from the start. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, supported, and confident that our work together has direction and purpose.
