Great to meet you!

I’m a bilingual Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a first-generation professional, I understand the complexities of balancing cultural identity, family expectations, and your own values. I especially enjoy working with first-generation adults and adult children of immigrants navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, boundaries, and life transitions. My background in crisis care has taught me the importance of creating a space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy should be a space where you feel empowered to explore what matters to you. I draw from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and DBT-informed skills to help you understand patterns, navigate difficult emotions, strengthen boundaries, and make choices that align with your values. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to change, and the parts of your life and background that are important to you. You don’t need to have everything figured out. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
