Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a lot—especially if you’re already overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure where to begin. My goal is to make therapy feel less intimidating and more like a place where you can finally exhale and be yourself.

I’ve worked in addiction and mental health for over 10 years, supporting people through substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, and the messy in-between moments of life. I also bring my own lived experience in recovery, which means I understand firsthand how vulnerable the healing process can be—and how important it is to feel safe and not judged along the way.

I hold a Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling and am licensed in Arizona, Colorado, and Maine. I’m certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trained in trauma-informed and co-occurring care, but what matters most to me is how we connect in the room (or on the screen).

I tend to build rapport easily and work best with clients who want a therapist who feels real, supportive, and steady. We’ll move at your pace, focus on what feels most important to you, and work together to build coping skills, clarity, and lasting change—without pressure to “have it all figured out.”

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed. It is centered on creating a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and understood—without pressure to have everything figured out. I focus on building a genuine, trusting relationship first, because healing happens best when you feel supported rather than judged or rushed.

I work collaboratively and at your pace, meeting you where you are and paying close attention to how past experiences, trauma, and relationship patterns may be showing up in your life now. For clients in recovery or exploring change around substance use, I offer a supportive, non-shaming approach that balances accountability with compassion.

While I use evidence-based methods, sessions are practical, flexible, and grounded in real life. My goal is to help you build coping skills you can actually use, strengthen your relationships (including the one you have with yourself), and move toward lasting, meaningful change in a way that feels manageable and steady.

What you can expect from me

After your first session, my hope is that you’ll feel a bit more at ease, understood, and less alone with what you’re carrying. Many clients leave feeling more grounded and clearer about what they’re dealing with and what next steps might look like.

The first session is about building comfort and trust, not pushing or overwhelming you. You’re always in control of the pace, and the goal is for you to leave feeling supported and hopeful about moving forward.
