Kimberly Ignacio

Hello, my name is Kimberly Ignacio and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working professionally in the mental health and social services field for over a decade. The professional and personal experiences I have encountered help me empathize with my clients in hopes of building understanding and alternative perspectives to be observed. Within field-based diverse communities and populations, the mental health support I have specialized in include interventions focused on safety, open communication, and resolving conflict. A few positions include residential treatment care, crisis intervention, case management, hospice care, and working with the special education population in behavioral schools. Additionally, my extended education pertains to studies from Psychology and Social Work.

The theoretical approaches utilized in my sessions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Modification Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, Biopsychosocial approaches, Systems Theory, Strengths Based, and is Solution Oriented. My hope in sessions is to help my clients understand “blindspots”, begin to trust themselves, develop self-control, improve insight, self-validation, and self-reliance.

My focus is to maintain a flexible understanding, non-judgmental stance, and for my clients to feel heard, seen, and accepted after struggling with stressors that cause impairments in their lives.
