I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of diverse social work experience. I received my bachelors and masters degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University. I possess the knowledge, skills, temperament, and clinical expertise to work with a diverse population. I have worked with adults who experienced childhood trauma (physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect), active duty military and veterans with combat trauma, MST and PTSD. Individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, and other life stressors.

When clients make the decision to engage in therapy I often ask them...what do you need to Know .. Do .. Understand .. Change .. or Accept so that you can move forward in life. I believe when people are given a platform to share without feeling judged, that starts the healing process.

My approach to therapy is to help clients process unhealthy thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by encouraging you to explore the root cause of your distress. Time is spent teaching, educating, and practicing techniques to help you learn positive coping skills, feeling management, and self-awareness; so that you can confidently walk in your truth and have inner peace.
