Great to meet you!

You’ve spent a long time being “nice.” Now you’re ready to feel confident, grounded, and fully yourself. Life can be really hard, especially when you have learned to survive by being agreeable, accommodating, or putting others first. Many of the people I work with are kind, thoughtful, and capable, yet feel worn down by patterns of being misunderstood, taken advantage of, or disconnected from their own needs. I work with individuals who are healing from trauma and are ready to build confidence, set boundaries, and trust themselves more fully. You may feel like your niceness has been mistaken for weakness, or that parts of who you truly are had to stay hidden to stay safe. Therapy can be a space where you begin to reconnect with yourself and learn that you do not have to abandon who you are to be loved or accepted.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I often tell clients: life can feel really overwhelming at times, but you do not have to do it alone. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It is about helping you feel more confident, aligned, and connected to yourself so you can move through the world with greater clarity and ease. I believe that healing happens when you feel truly heard and supported, not pushed or judged. Together, we focus on helping you understand your patterns, develop practical skills for boundaries and emotional regulation, and build a deeper sense of self-assuredness that feels aligned with your values. I draw from attachment-based, experiential, person-centered, DBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed approaches. My work is trauma-informed and shaped by both professional training and personal lived experience.

What you can expect from me

Sessions with me are reflective, educational, and practical. We move at a pace that feels safe and respectful of your nervous system, while still supporting meaningful growth and change. Clients often share that therapy feels calm, validating, and grounding. Over time, many begin to feel more confident in their choices, clearer about their boundaries, and more trusting of themselves. The goal is not perfection, but feeling more aligned and empowered in your daily life.

I offer virtual and in-person therapy for individuals in Virginia.
