My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, understanding, and empathy—qualities shaped by both my personal journey and professional training. I earned my degree in Social Work in 2017 and have since practiced in a variety of settings that have deepened my ability to support individuals across different age groups and life stages. These diverse experiences have strengthened my understanding of the unique challenges people face and allow me to meet each client with openness, respect, and genuine care.
I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. My work often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in emotional regulation and distress tolerance, and Person-Centered Therapyto create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and valued. By integrating these approaches, I am able to support clients in developing practical coping strategies while also fostering self-awareness, growth, and resilience.
My approach to therapy is centered on truly getting to know you as a whole person. In our first few sessions, I focus on understanding your upbringing, life experiences, and the journey that has shaped who you are today. I may ask about your childhood, family dynamics, relationships, and significant life events to better understand how your experiences have influenced your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This foundation helps us identify patterns, strengths, and areas for growth so that we can create meaningful goals and move forward with clarity and purpose. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.
