Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Ph.D. and over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, working with diverse populations in criminal justice, school-based, and outpatient mental health and substance use settings. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, and other life stressors. I help clients find greater peace and clarity while developing the tools they need to feel more in control of their lives. I offer a friendly, judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as we work together toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe building a trusting relationship is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I work to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly without fear of judgment. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected while developing practical strategies for creating positive change. Together, we will identify your goals, build on your strengths, and find approaches that work for you and your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and discussing what you would like to see change or improve in your life. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we can do together.
