Great to meet you!

If you are feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or stuck—or if you are carrying the effects of trauma, grief, addiction, relationship struggles, or a major life change—you do not have to work through it alone. I am Kim Pritchett, a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider, and I have experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a wide range of challenges, including trauma and PTSD, emotional regulation difficulties, personality disorders, recovery concerns, family conflict, and life transitions. I also welcome the opportunity to work with couples who want to strengthen communication, repair connection, and navigate challenges together.

I believe reaching out for support takes courage. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, understood, and respected. I will meet you where you are, listen carefully to your story, and work with you to identify the changes that matter most in your life. Whether you are facing a recent crisis, healing from past experiences, or simply want to feel more connected to yourself and others, I am here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on the whole person. I do not believe you are defined by a diagnosis or a difficult chapter in your life. Together, we will look at your experiences, relationships, strengths, beliefs, and goals so therapy reflects who you are—not just the symptoms you are experiencing.

I am willing to “get into the trenches” with you while offering steady support, honest reflection, and practical tools you can use outside of sessions. We will move at a pace that feels manageable and work together to better understand what is happening, strengthen emotional regulation, process painful experiences, and build healthier ways of coping and communicating. I welcome conversations about faith and spirituality when they are meaningful to you, and I respect each client’s right to make their own choices about their care.

What you can expect from me

You can expect therapy to be a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. In our sessions, we will identify your goals, make sense of the challenges you are facing, and develop practical next steps for moving forward. Depending on your needs, our work may include processing trauma or grief, managing anxiety or depression, navigating relationships and family conflict, strengthening self-esteem, coping with anger or stress, supporting recovery from substance use, or helping couples improve communication and reconnect.

My hope is that you leave sessions with greater clarity, useful tools, and a stronger sense of confidence in your ability to handle life’s challenges. Healing does not happen all at once, and you do not have to have everything figured out before beginning. We will work together, at your pace, so you can feel more hopeful, resilient, and equipped to create meaningful change.
