Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kim, and I want to meet you exactly where you are at. One of my most important jobs as a therapist is to listen to you so I can really understand how you are feeling and what you need to be better than the day before. Life can be lovely and exciting, and hard and sometimes unbearable. We get one chance to journey through life, and I will support you to help you meet your goals.

A therapist is a little bit of a mirror, a sounding board, and an advice column (if you're old enough to know what that is!). If you are looking for someone to partner with to get yourself to a healthier and happier you, then let's talk and get you on my schedule. I've been a social worker for twelve years. I graduated from OSU—Go Bucks! I grew up in Cleveland—Go Browns! I have lived a lot of life and worked with people going through a lot of different challenges in life—starting college, going through a divorce, criminal convictions, children services, problem gambling, drug use, career transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, and more. I'm available for a chat to see if our schedules will match up and what you'd like to get out of the therapeutic relationship.

I am a safe place for autistic people. I do not promote ABA. I am a safe place for trans people, non-binary, gender queer, gay, lesbian, etc. I am an ally.

In our sessions, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to tailor our work to your unique needs. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and work towards a healthier, happier you.

If you're ready to take the next step, let's connect and see how we can work together. I'm here to support you on your journey.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work hard to make you feel heard. I believe you are the expert of your life, and the solutions to many of your struggles lie within you...I just help you feel strong enough to take the steps to implement your solutions.

What you can expect from our first session

My sessions usually include some time for updates since the last session, feedback on what’s going right, some education on coping skills or new ways of thinking about things, and a wrap-up. If you like things to work on in-between sessions, I can provide that for you.
