Great to meet you!

I am a doctorate level professional counselor, and I offer a variety of counseling services with an eclectic approach depending on the needs of the client. I utilize many different techniques grounded in current evidence based practice and theories.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My main therapy focus is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which helps people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how all three work together and influence each other. While we don't have control over a lot in our environment, we can take control of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors instead of them being in control of us. I am also CBT certified for treating insomnia.

What you can expect from our first session

I help people learn how to identify and change negative, destructive, or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior. I also answer the question, "How do I do that??" No matter what you want to know how to change, I can help you figure it out.
