Great to meet you!

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already navigating life's challenges. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, past experiences, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, you deserve a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating or overly clinical. I enjoy working with teens, adults, and older adults across Texas who are navigating anxiety and panic, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, substance use and addiction,

ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, chronic health conditions, relationship and family difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and major life transition. I strive to provide a supportive environment where you can speak openly, feel genuinely heard, and explore life's challenges without fear of judgment. My style is down-to-earth, compassionate, and honest, with a little humor sprinkled in. I believe meaningful growth comes from understanding yourself, recognizing patterns, and learning healthier ways to navigate life's challenges. I'll meet you where you are, but I'll also encourage you to challenge yourself when you're ready.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be as unique as the person seeking it. I don't follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I work collaboratively with each client to understand their experiences, identify their goals, and develop an approach that fits their individual needs. My approach incorporates evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I'm DBT certified, trained in EMDR through an EMDRIA-approved program, and a Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Provider, with training in Trauma-Focused CBT. CBT helps us explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another, which is especially helpful for anxiety, OCD, and depression. DBT focuses on building practical skills for managing emotions, urges, and

relationships, including when substance use is part of the picture. EMDR can help clients process distressing experiences and reduce the impact of past trauma and

PTSD.

Through my clinical experience, I've learned that meaningful progress looks different for everyone. Some clients benefit from developing practical coping skills, while others need space to explore deeper emotions, process difficult experiences, or recognize patterns that may be holding them back. I value building genuine connections with my clients and believe that trust, collaboration, and sometimes a little humor can make even difficult conversations feel more approachable.

Some sessions may involve exploring difficult emotions and experiences, while others focus on practical skills, problem-solving, or challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is to create a balance between feeling supported and being encouraged to grow, always at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating, especially when you're meeting someone new and being asked to talk about things that aren't always easy to put into words. My goal is to make that first step feel a little easier. Our first session is a chance to get to know each other, get comfortable, and start figuring out what you need from therapy.

We'll go over a few basics, including confidentiality and what to expect from our time together. Then we'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what brought you here, and what you're hoping might change. There will be some questions along the way, but I want our time together to feel more like a conversation than an interview.

You don't have to know where to start, have the right words, or share everything all at once. We can laugh, we can sit with the hard stuff, and we can figure things out together. More than anything, I want you to feel like you have a place where you can show up exactly as you are, take a breath, and just be yourself.
